Fruity face masks

Summertime brings an onslaught of the acne condition in a large number of people. Fortunately, it is also the time when plants are in full bloom. The abundance of availability of different kinds of vegetables and fruits should be made use of in providing yourself with natural acne treatments. Acne treatments, the world over, witness the use of fruits because of their highly beneficial properties.
Fruits not just offer a large variety of minerals, vitamins and enzymes to keep our bodies fit, they can also be used as face masks to eradicate acne. Apples, apricots, raspberries, melons, grapes, bananas and avocados are amongst the most commonly used fruits for making face masks.

The nutrients present in fruits can usually nourish and revitalize the skin and some fruits also work as astringents. The use of fruits and vegetables in the form of face masks is known to have positive results. These face masks provide help in the following ways.
§ The top layer of the skin is gently exfoliated by their use acne products. This helps in removing the dead cells and other impurities such as blackheads.
§ They help keeping the skin hydrated.
§ They can have a positive effect of excessive skin pigmentation
§ They can control the secretion levels of sebum (one of the primary causes of acne)

A few things should be kept in mind when using natural face masks as acne treatment. These include:
§ Do not use metal bowls or spoons made of metal to make the fruit pack. Metals oxidize upon reaction with different fruit juices.
§ Acidic fruits can lead to allergic reactions and should be avoided.
§ Preference should be given to using organic fruits and vegetables as they would yield the best results.
§ Try not to store fruits masks; they are most effective when used immediately after being made.

While these masks might not prevent new acne from forming, they would certainly help in providing some relief without any side effects.
